Hello book loving people! just thought i should put this up so that you guys had a quick reference for how i will be rating the books that i review here so here you are:
Book scoring system: 10 point system
- 1 point for Characters: were they enjoyable to read and or well written and fun?
- 1 point for Plot: was it easy to follow, cohesive throughout and engaging to read
- 1 point for Enjoyment: did I enjoy reading the book, was it fun?
- 1point for Writing: did they need a thesaurus at any point during?
- 1 for Romance: how much did the romance make me blush/squeak/giggle?
- 1 point for Emotion: were the characters/plot emotionally evocative? Or was I able to connect with them
- 1 point for Originality: did it come from a fresh perspective/paint something in a new light?
- 1 point for Representation: did the book have adequate queer/ethnic/diverse representation?
- 1 for Thought provoking: did this book make me think?
- 1 point for Humour/laugh factor: does the book make me laugh—it has to make me laugh more then 5 times—
Book scoring system: 5 point system
1 point for Characters: were they enjoyable to read and or well written and fun?
1 point for Plot: was it easy to follow and cohesive throughout and engaging to read
1 point for Enjoyment: did I enjoy reading the book, was it fun?
1 point for Writing: did they need a thesaurus at any point during?
1 point for Romance: how much did the romance make me blush/squeak/giggle?
second part explained
so as I’m sure you noticed the 5 point system is just the 10 points but I’ve taken some of them out. this is mostly because most reviewing sites such as Goodreads and most other places only allow you to use 5 star rating so i will use the 10 point on this blog and the the 5 point system for writing reviews on other places ☺️

hope this is a helpful reference guide!
see you next time
